I’ve been an area resident for the past 30 years. My wife and I chose to raise our family in Milwaukie because we love the community and the people here. For the past 15 years, I have been actively involved in my community through SOLV, Boy Scouts, PTA, Coaching youth baseball & softball, Milwaukie RiverFest and mentor for Milwaukie High School.
I am aware of the issues facing Milwaukie & how they impact the people who live here.
Issues such as:
-The economy
-Regional waste-water treatment
-Light Rail
-Densification & zoning
-Downtown & Riverfront revitalization
-Environmental conservation
-Neighborhood livability
-Transportation infrastructure
-Business development & retention
As your Mayor, I will continue my work to build stronger relationships among members of city council and the citizens of Milwaukie. I will provide the needed leadership to ensure government is fiscally accountable, transparent and ethical in decisions. I will treat people in a respectful & professional manner and ensure decisions made reflect the values of the citizens of this community. Government should be accountable to the citizens, for it is the will of the people, not the political will of governing officials that should guide the decision-making process.
